WAUKEGAN – To offer residents the opportunity to voice their opinions and work with her office to find solutions, State Senator Adriane Johnson is hosting a listening session at Mano A Mano in North Chicago.
“There’s a lot going on in our communities, and it’s important for me to hear from our neighbors to know how I can best represent their interests in Springfield,” said Johnson. “Our diverse, robust community is full of bright and intelligent people, and I’d love to hear from you all at the upcoming listening session.”
The event will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at Mano A Mano, located at 1801 Sheridan Rd., Suite 101 in North Chicago.

WAUKEGAN – To engage with the community and provide assistance, State Senator Adriane Johnson is inviting residents to attend a Coffee and Connect event at Area Coffee in Mundelein.
The event will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 18 E. Park St. in Mundelein.
“Our community has had a busy and productive summer, with improvements through local grants and a series of other events,” said Johnson (D-Buffalo Grove). “With so much happening, I’m thrilled to bring my Coffee and Connect event to Mundelein to take a moment to catch up with our neighbors, give families the opportunity to learn more about state resources, and discuss solutions to address concerns.
WAUKEGAN – To offer Park City residents an opportunity to meet, ask questions and have conversations with local officials, State Senator Adriane Johnson is partnering with State Rep. Daniel Didech, Mayor Steve Pannell and the Consul-General of Mexico in Chicago to host a town hall.
“As a lawmaker, I understand the importance to take every chance I have to inform community members and connect families in need with available assistance,” said Johnson (D-Buffalo Grove). “By hosting this town hall, I hope to help Park City residents get the resources they may need, and I encourage everyone with a question or concern to attend.”
The town hall will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at the Community Center in Park City, located at 333 Teske Blvd.
WAUKEGAN – State Senator Adriane Johnson is encouraging communities with economic challenges in the 30th District to apply for assistance through the Open Space Land Acquisition and Development program. The program, which usually requires matching funds for projects, now offers complete assistance for distressed communities.
“Now is the time we utilize funding to rebuild local parks in our communities and provide our children and neighbors with safe and new attractions,” said Johnson (D-Buffalo Grove). “I am encouraging our park districts to take advantage of the opportunity by applying for this grant.”
In the district Johnson represents, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources highlighted North Chicago and Waukegan as economically disadvantaged communities.
